45 Degrees Stripe Patterns for Adobe Illustrator

A free pack of 28 vector pattern swatches for Adobe Illustrator Nagash.

• Stripes in 7 different sizes, rotated left and right
• Straight line and faux-pixelated line
• Black-transparent, and black-red variations

Illustrator comes with both vertical and horizontal line patterns, but not diagonal lines. it's hard to get them correctly tiled, but I got it tight - when you resize it, sometimes you get messy corners, but there's nothing one can do about it...

Use the black-transparent versions to get a single color stripe, and the black-red if you need two colors. To change the stripe color, simply drag the pattern to your canvas, paint it, and then drag to the swatches pallete again.

To use, load the PDF file in Adobe Illustrator and open the swatches palette (Window>Swatches). Download

This looks great and I really would love to have this! By any chance can you also add a tutorial on how this pdf file can be opened thru illustrator and turned into a preset pattern? For the meantime I will keep trying to open this file :)

Figured it out! Just need to append .ai to convert this pdf to an illustrator file.
Click the pdf link then go to File>Save Page As> File Name 45_Degrees_Stripes_Pattern_by_nagash.ai >Save as Type All Files.

Well thank you for commenting Vanessa :) I hope that you will find the file useful.

There isn't a problem with the file. Open the PDF with Adobe Illustrator then open the swatches palette Window>Swatches and you will see all the patterns.

I think the problem is the with the version of Illustrator that was used to save the PDF. I am running CS4 and neither AI nor Acrobat Pro will open the file.

Thanks Toni but I couldn't open this file either. I tried all the methods described by the others. I can get it to open in Illustrator but none of the patterns show up in the swatch palette. It's just blank. I have CS3 13.02 and I'm running it on a Mac.

Okay, I just figured it out! Go to the swatch library and then on the top right click to get the drop down menu. Then go all the way to bottom and pick "Open Swatch Library" then "Other Library". And then choose this file. Thanks Toni.

...for nothing ! Post a link if you use them.

Enjoy!

Hi

How do I change the color of the stripes? You say move it to the canvas and put it back?
